It wasn't within the SOT/EOT spec.  Using that logic, we are not
allowed to propose any new kludges, we have to stick with FTS-1
and FTS-4 for the rest of our lives.  That's not the way it goes.
If you can graft something new on top of that, ie it is upwardly
compatible, you can use it.  BFN.  Paul.
