RB> I want to buy an AMD5x86tm-P75...AMD-5-133ADZ CPU
RB> It must be 133ADZ & not marked as 133ADW

RS> Whats the story here ?

RB> I have tested the ADW chip on different motherboards and they fall
RB> over at 160Mhz under Warp3 they boot and come up with the OS/2
RB> logo and they a trap error (internal error#####). Under Win95 or Dos
RB> you get strange things happen, like one motherboard (SiS chipset)
RB> would not activate Comm1 even thought there was a mouse and the
RB> correct driver and the Bios reconized the port. One other Sis board
RB> came up with a blank screen until you unplugged the keyboard plug,
RB> then It would boot and light up until it got to the no keyboard
RB> present error message and as you had no keyboard , you were
RB> stuffed. Another M/B (UMC chipset) let me boot Win95 and go right
RB> into it, even though the key board was dead. Yet another UMC told me
RB> that I had an FDD and HDD controller failure.

RB> I blamed cheap motherboards. Then I used an ADZ chip

RB> Not one bloody problem. Purrs like a kitten at 160Mhz.

OK, I assumed there must have been something like that involved.
Managed to get an ADZ myself without realising it was important.
Havent tried running faster than bog standard yet tho, ALI chipset.
