Yes. Also tried jumpering both to report smaller size and not, neither made a
difference.

No. I figured the BIOS would at least recognize the existence of the drive. I
figured that once that was accomplished or I buy a controller card I would get
an 80 wire. Would not having 80 wire cause the BIOS it to not see the drive. In
the BIOS boot options it just mentions that modes 3 and above are not available
unless using 80 wire, I thought these are performance options. I'm a software
guy not hardware.
