subject: That`s Ozzy Post!

While discussing the paradoxes involved in using Christians as lightning
conductors on church steeples, Steve Corry said this about That's Ozzy Post!

 G'day Steve,

SC> They will soon be displaying a5oo's at Toronga Zoo, the rare spieces
 SC> section 8)

Only the weaker ones. My 500's been on the receiving end of a size nine on
at least one occasion but still chugs along merrily. :-)

 >>> occasional game of Turrican and Stunt Car Racer. :-)

SC> I used to like the way the car sank down. The suspenders were kool.

Suspenders?? What game are you playing? Sounds more like Bedroom Olympiad
than Stunt Car Racer. ;^)

SC> I loved Formula One GP. Prob is, my joystick doesn't stick at all to
SC> computer desk. It's got a funny grainy surface. No good when you're

It's one of them ones with the suction cups on it? Why not get a cheap
piece of chipboard and put laminex on one side for the joystick to stick
onto and felt on the other side so as to avoid damaging the desk? Make
it 12" x 12" x 3/4" and it should be heavy enough not to
move around and
it'd probably cost you less than $10 all up.

 >> They've definately got the goodies. I'd like to play them too but find I

SC> I hear the new Power PC's are gonna be based around the old Amy DOS
 SC> systems.

Who knows? Anyone got any more info on this?

 >> more I want a BeBox. _That's_ a computer. Yep. I'll be buying one of
 >> these I think. Hell of a machine.

SC> I'm going to, sometime. I'm in no hurry, and will just see what the
SC> markets doing for a while.

Not me. I'm going to dive in feet first, eyes closed and hope for the best.
I see you can ftp software from Be's homepage now. I must grab an archive
out of curiosity. Shame they're packed with GZ though. More crashes.

SC> I did that with the A12oo - gave it 18 mths to see
SC> what was going down before splashing out on such a system.
SC> The market never recovered :-<

No disrespect intended but did you ever think that's why the market never
recovered? If everybody who wanted a new Amiga had bought one instead of
hanging back, things could possibly be a little different.

SC> Prob with PC's, unlike Amy, is they're outdated soooo fast. And I hear
SC> 12 speed CD ROMs are coming next year.

Doesn't surprise me. Ten speeds have been out for a few months.

 >> I think you'll do well to do that. I'm going to try and complete
Turrican
 >> II without cheating. :-)

SC> I never got around to playing any games! The last one I got into took
SC> over my system for a week (Settlers). It's now in a long cooling down

A good game. Very system hungry though. Someone in here mentioned Settlers
II not long ago. I must get the address of Blue Byte again and check it out
for myself.

SC> one saw when one closed ones eyes, were billions of little dudes
SC> cutting down trees and carting merchandise around!!!

:-) It gets like that huh? Myself and my old neighbour went through a six
month period where we both had sleepless nights after playing DuneII
intensly and saw nothing but tanks upon getting to sleep. ;-)
