It depends upon what type of cabling was installed for your telephones -
if it's CAT-5 or better grade yes, you can crimp on UTP connectors and
use the cable - if it's simple phone wiring - no.
Another option you may want to look at it ethernet via power. You have a
plug with an ethernet connector in it in both room and they communicate
over the internal house power wiring.
