Thanks Patrick for your msg about OS/2 message queue ?, on 07

My understanding (though I have read different things at
different times) is that a timer thread will see that the current
focus application is not responding to the queue, and will 'move
it to the back of the bus' by forcing it to not be the focus
application anymore. So the app will stop responding until it
comes out of its funk (and will therefore will not get focus
back.) I'm sure that there are some gotchas there, such as the
typeahead characters that were meant for the focus application
that gets hung. If a new app gets forced to the fore, does that
flush the input queue first? If not, then these keys could then
suddenly go to the new application (potentially responding 'yes'
to the 'Are you sure you want me to format your hard drive and
then self destruct?' message.)
