Hey THURSTON!

A big difference for sure but I am not so sure I like the comparison.

Whoa! To be honest I have absolutely no idea. I think the last SuSE I
looked at was 6.something-or-other. One thing for sure is that USB works
better here on a smp board that gave me all sorts of hassel due to VIA usb
hub (uhci) and smp that 2.6.8.1 finally cleared up. Both my mouse and
keyboard are ps/2 and no problem there with either 2.4 or 2.6, although I
have a few sticky keys that are rather annoying. No printer for about
8-ish years now but that was a laser and never, ever had a problem with
Linux. Framebuffers are looking good. Cable modem works as good as it
ever did (dhcpcd) wired into a Intel network chip (eepro100). Same with
pcmcia which is where I plug in memory cards (compactflash). I am happy
with that.

So, like I said, beats me. :-/

Life is good,
Maurice
