Many Christians do not understand God any better than the next
"barbarian". ;-) In that, you made a mistake - to expect humans
of any religion, to explain the answers they give for their god.
God is not religious. And, btw, God is not Christian either. He is
the God of Christianity - but in that sense He is also the God of
the Jews, and the God of Muhammed as well - since Allah is just a
human definition of what Is. There is nothing on Earth left out.
Our petty religions will pass away to dust, just as our bodies do;
but God is the All That Is, Ever Was, or Ever Will Be - and is not
confined to a religion, nor the Earth, nor yet, even the Universe
itself.
The God of the Bible never condemns. Any Christian who's read the Bible
ought to _know_ that. God never damns anyone. To believe that, is to
believe that God is a liar when it is written "I sent my Word and it
healed them." With what Word, then, does God condemn? It is the
devil of who it is written comes but to "kill, steal and to destroy",
and he is labeled The Destroyer, and The Accuser. What is the symbol
"Satan"? It is the symbol of death and oblivion, yes, but also the
symbol for misery and guilt. God does not partake in guilt. In the
Christian Bible, we are given a choice - to believe we are partakers
of the covenant between Man and God, ratified by the blood of Jesus,
or choose to be damned by default - not by God's choice - but OUR choice.
We are the damners. You won't find too many Christians who have read
their Bibles enough to know this, or are willing to admit it. Even
the Bible states it plainly: "to the church it has been given the
right to judge even the angels". "Church", not capitalized, but
never translated, from the Greek meaning "called out", or "sanctified",
which is just a fancy word meaning segregated ones. It does NOT mean a
bunch of human leaders who have usurped the term to mean "Us" because
we have the power. But rather any little one of us, who has believed.
In your last paragraph, you have stated more closely the truth than
you may ever know; but this is my own personal opinion. Except, angels
are not perfect either. ;-)
... Ghosts are merely unsubstantiated roomers.
