I have been having very good luck with SLICER.COM in
Warp 4, and yet there are some people reporting that
TAME and OSTSR are working for them, and that SLICER
will not work for them.
Perhaps I have found an explanation--while messing
around with things to "tune up" my newly installed
Warp4, I discovered that for SLICER to work, the
Idle Sensitivity for the program involved must be
active--i.e. it must NOT be set to 100, which disables
it. If it is 98 or less, SLICER can do its job.
I now use SLICER with all my DOS programs (not including
WINOS2 programs) and it gives my system plenty of zip,
even with a DOS comunications program running all day
long in the background collecting data.
