Hi Chris,
I looked at that. Its not a bad idea and probably the simplest 
solution. But since I was also expanding the pathnames I wanted to 
continue in the same vain. Anyway, it works now thanks to chrisant. See 
previous post.

You could go the history buffer and lowercase everything there before
displaying the history lists.
