Jon,
I have been using Quantum Atlas(LVD), Viking(UW), and Seagate Cheetah
drives (both LVD) for years on SCSI. Knock on wood, none have had any
problems.
I've just installed a new 73G Cheetah (LVD) over the last week. It's
running fine.
I tend to run out of space long before the drive goes bad. To be honest,
knock on wood, I've never had a drive go bad. I've run all SCSI since
v2.0 came out.
