  It works, and I think I know what it causing it. The RING is not a
lot different than the BUSY beep, and Paul's Netcomm often picks up
halfway into a ring. It never used to... it always picked up in the
deadspace between rings. With BUSY-detect disabled I get to hear the
half-rings now. The Sportie is misidentifying a half-RING as a BUSY
beep.

  It's not the Netcomm hanging up.. it's me! I reckon it picks up at 
random now, where once they used to pick up synchronous with the rings.
