 Neil...
I'm sending this to you using OS/2 running Terminate which resides
on the DOS FAT drive in my machine. I have 2 drives formated HPFS
  and 1 drive formated FAT.
Under OS/2 I can access all drives with no problem. When I reboot
to DOS the FAT drive which is D: under OS/2 becomes C:
Because DOS cannot read HPFS drives the other drives are not seen but...
I use a DOS based HPFS driver (IHPFS.EXE) to read my HPFS drives under
DOS so all my data is available.
So to confirm what Kris was telling you... Your wrong.
