Wow! Sounds like a NICE hole-in-the-water you have! There are a few
boats in the 30' to 38' range in my sailing club (which is mostly
for Catalina 22's). Every time we have a cruise and one or more
of these larger boats is in attendance, everyone seems to gravitate
to them for the evening social hour. The comforts and conveniences
of a three burner stove with oven, 2 basin galley sink, refrigeration,
enclosed head with shower, etc, etc. are enough to make my mouth
water just thinking about it.
Where do you keep your Jeanneau 36, and how much are monthly slip fees
in your marina? The San Francisco Bay area, which is where I would keep
a boat like yours if I had one, averages about $5.00 per foot per month.
Of course, there is a considerable range; some places are relatively
cheap at $2.00 per foot, and other marinas go as high as $9.00/ft.
Your BBS address implies you are in Canada somewhere (Either Toronto
or Vancouver, I'm not sure). Do you have year-round sailing in your
home waters? Or do you pretty much close down for winter?
Good to hear from you! -Larry Charlot-
