Yes, i'm appreciative for the zone gates and hus who are really the
backbone of fido as they cop the charges in the end, NOT the end sysop who
gets it for free, charges users to use it like it's some kind of
privilage..
No pay, no Echos..? A bit rough. I think of all the sysops who poll at
long-dis tance rates to provide their community with a link to the world
freely cos that's the spirit of fido.

There is a policy on charging to pay for costs, and that's fair to
everyone, bu t I have seen obvious mutations of this that are nothing but
large money making boards providing fido as another feature of their
enterprise, and that isn't right. I've seen "0055" boards with
Fido listed in their adverts..
It's my perogative to take offense to that too.

grain of salt? How sad...
