Hi Y.T.,
Thanks for your feedback.
Yeah, I think you're right. The Xtgold people probably aren't going to
be worried about a little TSE macro. Bottom line is its not exactly
going to eat into their sales.
Back in the 'good old DOS days' I used to use XTGOLD and Qedit
exclusively. It was like a marriage made in heaven. Now I just use TSE
with its Restore State capability so I can get through the
edit/compile/link cycle pretty quickly.
I haven't used WCMD but it sounds like you use it the same as I did XTG
and Qedit above.
Mainly my reasons for writing the XTGOLD macro are a) the humour of
it. b) I don't like/use TSE's File Manager c) Win95 Explorer
lacks functionality/control. d) I want a powerful portable File Manager
 when I visit customer sites.
I guess, in the end, what you use boils down to what you're doing, what
you're used to, and what tickles your fancy. Maybe not in that order :-)
Regards,
Ross

I don't think there is going to be any problem with it. There are at least
half a dozen of XTree clones (freeware & shareware) out there! There
are also quite a few NC (Norton Commander) clones. Symantec doesn't
seem to care too much about them. Back in the Dos days, someone once
said, NC is for programmers and Xtree is for the rest. That showed how
popular were the two file managers.
Talking about Xtree/XTgold and NC, I wonder how most TSE users
start up TSE. For me, I set TSE as an icon on WCMD (Windows
Commander, an NC clone). From the WCMD panel, I can use quick
search to find a file quickly and then click on the TSE icon. The file
is loaded into TSE directly irrespective of its extension - no mucking
around with the file association or "send to". With such a file manager,
there is no need to have an inbuilt TSE file manager.
/Y.T.
