(-: I actually mis-read it the first time and was guessing which one you WOULD watch. LOL, I see my error now. If I had to choose one of them, it would also be that one. > MP> I am not sure they had trouble with the ending (other than it did > MP> not at all match what was in the book) but, at one point, they > MP> asked him who was responsible for one of the deaths in the book. > MP> He realized that he did not know! Many of my books > dissaopeared around August 2005. The Maltese Falcon was a Sam Spade movie, and a Dashiel Hammett (sp?) book. The Big Sleep was a Philip Marlowe movie, and a Raymond Chandler book. I think they are easy to confuse because Bogart played both Sam and Phil. After seeing Bogart play Marlowe, Chandler supposedly thought he was the best one to have played him (even though he was not crazy about some of the story line changes). Two of my favorite movies and books. :) Mike --- * SLMR 2.1a * Tell me, is something eluding you, Sunshine?* Origin: capitolcityonline.net * Telnet/SSH:2022/HTTP (1:2320/105) SEEN-BY: 15/0 19/36 34/999 90/1 116/18 120/302 331 123/140 153/7715 218/700 SEEN-BY: 220/60 229/426 230/150 152 240/1120 250/1 261/38 100 266/404 512 SEEN-BY: 267/155 275/100 282/1031 1056 291/1 111 320/119 219 340/400 342/13 SEEN-BY: 393/68 396/45 633/0 267 280 281 412 712/132 620 848 770/1 801/161 189 SEEN-BY: 2320/100 105 3634/12 5020/1042 @PATH: 2320/105 261/38 712/848 633/280 267 |
