| subject: | Borland Tp7 Dpmi Routine |
DG> > They are pointing a > finger at OS/2, where I believe it is in the library routines > supplied by Borland. DG> It's a disagreement between Borland and the rest of the world as to how DPMI is supposed to work. You may find that the OS/2 2.10-2.11 Service Pack will fix the DPMI problem. Certainly DPMI is slightly different in 2.11, since Borland C++ 4.0 for DOS (which uses Borland's crazy DPMI extender) is unstable on some systems (it can can cause TRAPs) when running 2.10, but fails properly on those same systems (with a SYS3176) when running 2.11. And yes, DOS development tools run under OS/2 are on topic over in the OS2DOS echo. However, I tend to nudge them back to Peter here if they turn into OS/2 programming threads.
