Actually it is not 30 frames/sec it is 29.97, not 29.99. And this would be 
SLOWER not faster. 
  
And all of this talk about SMPTE timecode. Now that everything is stored on 
hard drives and the need to sync multiple tape sources is rapidly dispearing. 
Why bother anymore. 
 
Post stripping of video has always been problmatic when it works at all.
