Your MODEM, Paul.  If it can't recover from a problem caller, it also has
major problems.  Incidentally, has anybody yet connected with your M34F at
speeds greater than 28800 ?  The logs here always indicate a symbol rate of
3200, no 3429 which is necessary for V.34+ connects.
