I thought I would put together a sort of test system just to use to try 
stuff out.  I had alot of the hardware laying around so I bought:

new case w/300w power supply
AMD atholen
Matrox 450g
512 mb pc2100 memory
Shuttle AK32VN MB with VIA KT266A

When I put it together and turned it on I get no display on the monitor.
Initially the green light on the monitor comes on but then it turns to 
amber like it is getting no signal.  The two case fans and the cpu fan 
spin up. I can hear the harddrive spin up.  Neither the HD led or the 
Pwr led light up, I tried reversing the connection but that did not 
help. The floppy light does not flash, but the light on the cd drive 
flashes and the tray will open.

Anyone have an idea what is wrong?
