same here. my local node and my dialup node are the only ones that run 24
hours. my telnet nodes are only active when my telnet server software detects
incoming calls. the varables or envoriment stuff i was referring to is in the
autoexec.bat/config.sys if running under Win9x and config.nt/autoexec.nt if
you're running under windows NT,2k, XP

i'll disable global trapping, and turn on use task= blah blah. i have those set
oppisate of y ourself
