What comes of having ignored the idea of going metric
years ago.

We've embraced HDTV ( though not I), debit cards rather than cash
yet ignore the far simpler metric system.

Heck, remember when two groups programming a Mars
probe one working in English measurement ( feet and yards)
and the other in meters splattered that probe into the martian surface
rather than placing it into orbit?
