Wow! In some weeks, I'll be in your nearness (Bussum/Hilversum).
I happened to develop a 'Radio Frequency Monitoring System' for a 
Netherlands PTT government office. The remote (unmanned) station 
with the antennas is built up on top of a high building in 
Schiedam to survey the HF/UHF radio activities of the Rotterdam 
harbour region. This station is modem-coupled with an operator 
station near Hilversum, and: most of the system software was 
written by me in
               _P o w e r B A S I C_
I report this here to state my experience, that PowerBASIC is a
very economical language to work on big software projects in MS-
DOS environment.
