  That is not a bad estimate.  The database for echo I help moderate is
  at number 231K over a period of not quite one decade.

  OTOH, when I read the messages after downloading them in a QWK door,
  those numbers are truncated to 16 bit, and that has turned over
  multiple times since I started.
