Just to clear this point but LLpro will work in either 4 bit or 8 bit depending on what it finds when testing the port connections. IIRC it was 4 bit by default but then one could set the turbo option or 8 bits. Just beware I think it doesn't handle hidden files too well or not. M*i*k*e ...
