RH>> Rachel had some also, my brother had ice (in the Catskills).
RH>> Deborah had temps of near 100, ours were upper 70s/low 80s. We
RH>> had the best of it all. (G)
NB>> I think I'd have to agree with you there... ;) Deborah's were
NB>> unthinkable....! Meanwhile, today the high here was in the
NB>> high 80s... way too high for this time of year... haven't heard
NB>> yet if it broke records, but there was that possibility.... Cold
NB>> front coming in tonight, heavy rain and T-storms predicted...
NB>> and highs in the 60s tomorrow... ;)
RH> We were in the 80s today, way too warm for April. But, our air
RH> conditioning is working again--got a new unit put in with new duct
RH> work and it's keeping us nice & cool.
Monday it was supposed to get a high of 81, but it never got there... I
was just as glad actually... :) We're still needing the furnace to
warm up the house in the evening.... so any warm days just serve as heat
producers... Only A/C we have is in my car... but then we don't need it
that much usually....
NB>>> Nope, food isn't covered [by health insurnce] (except for that
NB>>> liquid nutritional stuff that goes into PEG tubes)....
RH>> Stuff that you're just as well off not eating or drinking as is.
RH>> A friend gave me a few bottles of Boost a while ago (cleaning
RH>> out her fridge). It may give you proper nutrition but the taste
RH>> is very forgettable. (G)
NB>> Nasty stuff.... It has its purposes, but not something I intend
NB>> to be ingesting... ;)
RH> Now that I know what it's like, I'll try to avoid it as much as
RH> possible.
In nursing homes, they refer to them as "milkshakes"... yeah, right.. ;0
NB>>> Our rule of thumb has been to order one dish for the two of
NB>>> us (unless we either want leftovers, or know in advance that
NB>>> something will be more scant than most entrees), and to
NB>>> otherwise order 2 entrees for every 3 people... that usually
NB>>> works out pretty evenly, and only once in a while do we end
NB>>> up with extras.... :)
RH>> Lately when it's just been the 2 of us (most of the time, it is
RH>> just that) we've ordered one dish and a couple of egg rolls. Egg
RH>> rolls are then eaten with the first go round, there's plenty of
RH>> entree left for another meal. Hardest part is deciding what to
RH>> share. (G)
NB>> You choose one time, he chooses the next....? ;)
RH> We have a few dishes that we both like so will usually go for one of
RH> them. If they have baby corn in them, it's all mine. (G)
Ah.... and, of course.... ;)
