Hello, Scott.

You've got a lot of balls saying I hijacked an expired elisting. At least I
cared enough to renew it, instead of letting it fall to the wayside. I may not
be very active in BBSing anymore, but I check my mail every week, not every
month. If you'd given a damn, you would have seen me ask about you.

But it doesn't matter anymore, does it?

I saw your long-winded explaination that could have simply said that "I'm
scared to set up my board to use telnet and get real callers." I get new
callers every day - in fact, I have 68 active callers (I get about four to ten
calls per day). Not a lot of users, but enough for me to keep interest enough
to keep the BBS going.

You've always been too stubborn or proud to see that you're being a stick in
the mud and crying and moaning about how BBSing is dying. Then explain the
300+ Synchronet BBSes that are around and active? How about the WINServer
boards? The other Telegard boards? The SPITFIRE board I like to call?

Oh, yes, that's right - they all have telnet access.

So, it's a sad thing to see you take down your board. But hey, if you wouldn't
listen to reason, you wouldn't listen to the rest of us who simply set up a
telnet board (and believe me, it's easy under Windows and OS/2).

As Edward R. Murrow said, "goodbye and good luck".

Later,
Sean
