So where did it come from?  i don't recall the VMS switches as it was quite
some time ago and by the time I first saw and played with DOS I was already
used to Solaris and DOS looked and behaved nothing like that, to say the

installed on ye ol' 386.  I certainly don't miss that at all.

I don't recall but do remember using the slash here and there.  I think
fdisk had a few undocumented ones.
