Under DOS, I don't know, but QuickBatch File Compiler works nicely
under windows.... I can't find any signs of pure text in my batch
files, best of all, I can add any support files needed and it builds
them into the exe file.... I use it to quickly install files I copy to
my desktop from my laptop, and for languages that require run-time
library and stuff, I just create a quick batch file that calls the exe
file and add all support files to the batch file and the result is a
single EXE that contains all required .dll, data files, etc....
