yo a word of warning....i've just got the new norton 3 program suite - nav, ute and virus. be careful when using nort ute for win95 when you've got heaps of almax metastock data. some of the metastock dop files may be incorrectly dated ie 00/00/00 nu hates this. so rather than have nu do what it likes with your data use the win95 scandisk prog first and ensure that you have ckecked the fix date time option for the thorough scandisk...let this do it's business. then if you want all the norton win95 utilities work fine..and a final word be wary of letting any progs automatically delete duplicate files remember most metastock dat and dops are duplicated in name only across directories. PS have been using the new mcaffee win95 viruscan - very clinical without the useful autoscan features of win3.1, have now got the norton virus prog and it's got autoscheduling. in a nutshell the whole norton suite of win95 progs is nice but will you really need it after all windows 95's cdrom version contains so many good features the only other prog you could really need is xtregold for windows which can be patched for win95 by logging onto symantecs sydney based bbs...regrds --- Maximus/2 2.01wb* Origin: Melbourne PC User Group BBS (3:632/309) SEEN-BY: 50/99 620/243 623/630 624/300 632/0 107 304 309 325 326 329 348 393 SEEN-BY: 632/454 503 530 998 999 1000 633/371 634/384 635/503 544 637/103 SEEN-BY: 639/100 711/401 406 409 413 430 807 808 809 899 934 712/515 713/888 SEEN-BY: 714/906 800/1 7877/2809 @PATH: 632/309 998 635/503 50/99 711/808 809 934 |
