"Matt Mc_Carthy" bravely wrote to "mark lewis" (21 Sep 04 04:01:01) --- on the heady topic of "Power Supplies - detached" MM> Now that CPUs are up to several GHz, it's more important than ever to MM> get the hot air OUT of the case, and that hot air is naturally at the MM> top. In addition having a fan at the bottom of the case blowing in is even more effective because cold air is denser than hot air, then more air is moved. Also pushing cold air into the bottom of the case creates a turbulent air flow which gets into a lot more nooks and crannies that might ordinarily be dead spots with just the PSU fan pulling air out.
