On the 31/7/96 12:03, Paul waffled to Me.. Hello Paul, PE> 2. No setup cost but $xx account needs to be started, at $1/hour. PE> $10/month minimum monthly charge. This is what Jeff has. Sounds like what I want. PE> There are other options if you want to get more sophisticated. Be sure PE> to mention my name when prompted "where did you find out" so that I get PE> $10 credit on my account! :-) No probs .. PE> The phone number to dial is 02-9371-9199. I know all 3 guys who run That seems to be their Modem #. Can you double check that number?. Anything that seems to be related Matra doesn't appear anywhere in the phone either. PE> the show, and there is some *excellent* technical talent in there. Not PE> that that makes any difference I guess. Could make a lot of difference to a neophyte like me... PE> P.S. What do you actually want an internet account for anyway? The Because I want to, that's why :-) It's more for a look and see what it can provide over and above normal channels. So far, I've found some interesting stuff on computer controlled model railway control - that's the sort of stuff that you could get via snail mail, or overseas BBS's, so it's cheaper and more expedient via the net. I've also obtained Windows and OS/2 drivers for my Tseng Video card. I plan to browse for what I want at home, and d/l what I want at work where they have a permanent ISDN net connection. Why, I hear you ask, don't I do my browsing at work ? You don't ask ? OK, I wont tell then :-) Dieter ... Take my advice, I don't use it anyway. ___ Blue Wave/QWK v2.12 @EOT: ---* Origin: Mirbachs MadPoint (3:711/934.8) SEEN-BY: 711/934 712/610 @PATH: 711/934 |
