JS> Because it came from a newspaper does not make it truthful..
True. However, I believe the book the article was based on is as acurate as
many other "history" books. The material is based on the usual sources such
as crew interviews and information obtained through freedom of information
acts.

JS> Government... Why try to dig up something that is at least
JS> 50 years old... There was NO danger to Canadian citizens at
 JS> the time...
I am not trying to dig anything up. I never said that there was any
violation of any agreements. I never said anyone was in danger.
JS> Only the hysteria scattered by your newspapers.
I don't think there any hysteria created. I don't think there was any intent
to spread any hysteria. I am not aware that the article carried in the local
paper resulted in a single comment from anyone locally.
JS> I have flown ovver BOTH areas many times... With and without
JS> weapons. I am sure the jettison was in accord with US/Canadian
JS> agreement or the crew would not have done it...
I am sure that is correct.
 JS>
JS> If you have spent as many years as I on a SAC bomber crew.
JS> You will see that NO MISTAKES were ever made in handling of
JS> weapons... Regardless of what your 50 year old news account
 JS> had to say...
No one said any mistakes were made. The article said normal procedures were
followed.
The article was based on the first volume on a research project. This was
not a "witch hunt" book. There was no cross country tour of TV and radio
talk shows trying to stir anything up.
