You want to bash the "rich"? _You_ (the retired elderly generally) _are_
the "rich": the people with the most net worth, the people who have
comparatively few expenses (no mortgage left on that paid-off home, no high
food bills for four kids living at home, kids out of college). According to
the Census Bureau, America's richest people are typically elderly!

The middle class in this country pays most of the taxes, because there
just are so many more middle class people than rich people.
