AH>PAUL, PAUL, PAUL I think you just like to "debate". If you have 10
  >apples and 10 humans, everyone gets an apple. If you have 10 apples and
  >20 humans, everyone gets a half an apple and so on. If there are
  >finally only ten apples on earth and two hundred humans, someone is
  >going to starve. Better to keep the level of ALL living things at a
  >level so there is enough.
Only if your little society there is operating under the concept of pure
communism. The way things turn out in real life, somebody always gets
more than his "fair share".
Distribution of resources is closer to the root of the problem as you
presented it. There's sufficient food and agricultural capacity on a
world-wide basis to feed everyone adequately, and even a few more...
but attaining an equal distribution of resources is a political
impossibility. The Soviets and Chinese have embraced communism for
nearly 80 years, and political stuggles have kept things to the point
that food distribution is horrifyingly less equal than it is in our
capitalist society.
Theory's fun to argue, but we live in a real and less-than-perfect
world.
