BB> GS> BTW, did you ever get those siren parts that I UPSed to you?

That would have been nice. I always enjoy meeting in person people that
I have met on line. I have been having computer problems off and on for
several months. We seem to have finally tracked it down to a flaky CPU.
I had a DX/4-100 and it would work fine in most DOS applications, but I
would get the screwiest errors in Windows. Tried everything, but the
CPU, because we figured it would just plain not run if it were that.
However, we were wrong. Replaced it temporarily with a 33 Mhz chip, and
it runs fine. I've been running the machine for several hours without
one GPF or other message. OTOH, we put the other chip into a different
board in a known good system, and within about 15 minutes, it started
acting up. Going to try to get a new one under warrantee, however, AMD
100 Mhz chips are pretty cheap, so at worst, I will just buy one of
those. All this is buy way of explaining that I have been off and on on
the echoes for a while now. Hopefully, that will all change.
BB>Really appreciated those parts.... If ever I can help.....
Sure enough. I couldn't remember if you had ever told me that you got
the parts, then again, I might have been off line and missed the
message.
BTW, I always accept patches that are sent.
