MO> It seems that way huh? Trouble is that I have no problem FTPing files from
MO> there but can't find it using my browser. Strange huh?
Well, to me it sounds like your browser is stuffed!
Livewire averages around 1200 accesses to the WWW server delivering Aminet
each day. With Greg's DOpus 5.5 release, this has tripled in the last
three days.
RVR> And, like you state, it's up and down more often then a yo-yo :)
Nothing more fustrating being on an end of a 128k link and have it die for
no real reason. Telstra have been great in trying to pinpoint why this
happens to try and stablise it. With their suggested ideas I am migrating
away from ISDN and going to their Digital Fastway product - it seems to
offer more stability.
MO> That's the truth. I'd like to know why it's so slow though when it is
MO> running.
The bandwidth problem, or lack of it.
Remember, there ARE some 20 OTHER Aminet sites around, including
ftp.tas.gov.au and archie.au in Australia.

Rossco
