| subject: | Castle Camelot update |
For every one of my LORD buddies: As most of you probably know by now, Michael Preslar had to stop providing free hosting for people at lordlegacy.org, due to financial problems. So my old sites there are not longer in existence. The old/current URL for Castle Camelot material is: http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Vista/5389/camelot5.html . For the LORD Links page. Most of the site material was fully re-uploaded, except for .TXT files for LORD Newsletter issues. Those are now only posted in the related issue ZIP file archives. Kiteria's Korner will be put back online sometime this month. Until then, it is off-line. The site archive, if needed, is on the Castle Camelot site, in the Archives directory. Which is where HTML LordNews file archives are stored. Look for KIT-FILE.ZIP. My Camelot LordNews FDN service is still fully usable, and contains all Lord programs released since approximately January 2000, if I recall correctly. As long as people remember to send me anything that they release, or I can find material on my own, I'll continue to post every Lord author's work there. And I will be posting some brand new Lord programs of my own there sometime this year. =============================================== At present, the FDN site is the only active source of any new LORD material that I distribute for others, until I get started updating Shannon Talley's fidotel server's LORD files collection. Any Lord programs, IGM/utility, that I actually release for myself, or others, are being stored long-term in an LordApps subdirectory of my web-site. At present, that is the following programs, which were released in early October 2002. L.O.R.D. Cavern 1.5, The Gateway v1.1, The Outlands Tavern v1.4, LordStat v1.7, and RHP Toolkit v1.2. Those were brought up to date by me for Jason Brown. ======================== LordNews notes: As those who read the Lord newsletter are aware, I took a break from doing month-by month html newsletter files. Once Issue #12 was finished and released, I have not touched the newsletter files since, other than to bring them all up-to-date for reposting to the GeoCities server. I will most likely resume development of the Lord newsletter after Christmas. LORD news is not really happening right now anyway, so an ccigm-13.html file, if it existed right now, would have very little in it. If any of you are still interested in keeping LORD games fresh and good, please consider updating your own IGMs with new features, and give players some new challenges to figure out. I hope everyone is doing well, and wish everyone an early Merry Christmas. Details on my LORD programming projects follow in the next message.
