ER>I am in need of a text editor for DOS & OS/2 which can help me match up

You can enable its enter matching mode and whenever you type the first
half of one of the pair, it enters the second half and leaves the cursor
between them so any text you enter is inside. You just have to remember
to either hit the right arrow key, or the end key to move the cursor
outside of the braces, parenthesis, brackets, etc. You can also enable
a C mode that will automatically indent the cursor if you type an
opening brace and hit the ENTER key. Then, when you hit the closing
brace, it jumps back to the original column. I have use QEdit for years
and love it. It is very configurable.
