Hi Tedd,

BTW the BIOS date+time was correct at the time of the first sync 
operation (5 seconds after Desktop up ) - which then threw it way into 
the future!

I haven't previously had any trouble whatsoever with time-a.nust.gov 
(including that period you mention), but I have had no success with all 
of the others I had tried both UDP & TCP - including Adelaide U and 
Newcastle U here in AU. Invariably they come up with "failed to connect" 
due timeouts.

It's pretty bad when the National Institute of Standards and Technology, 
as a *major* Time-server  starts having crucial problems only slightly 
over 24 hours before the changed DST period comes into force!

Just had to go changing all the files that ended up with future timestamps!
