Microsoft supports windows 98 just as well today as they did when new. The
only reason to change to a more recent microsoft product might be to
support a masochistic streak or perhaps some of the newer games. As long as
you don't trust it with a line out, it will remain as reliable as anything
micrsoft has produced to date.
