Don't try this at home kids ;-) I generally avoid long parallel cables
wherever possible. Here's my standard PLIP cable wiring for what that's
worth. PLIP works in nybble mode, and ISTR this cable works with
Interlink, DCC etc. too.

Pins 18-25 are all ground, and could be connected straight across. I think
it's more common to connect a single ground reference on these cables
though.
