Harry,

No problems with CD/DVDs as the file system doesn't support them - so
there are none to be found. Just one of the problems using this media
for backup unless archived by a program that is EA aware.

On FAT32, remove the /EAS switch on the IFS driver and there will be
no EAs written, in this case. EAs are a separate file, named after the
real file.

To delete the EAs on FAT32 with WinExplorer on memsticks, show hidden
files and delete the EA files. In OS/2, you can use my FS/2 beta to
remove any EA on all selected files, using the extended options for
Files->Attributes. Other file managers may have similar options. Same
for FAT16 on OS/2. Just select all *.mp3 and do it. The database file
created on OS/2 FAT16 (EA DATA. SF) is a different animal as you must
know and can't easily be deleted or modified except by deleting EAs
but are not used by Win programs.

I'd be surprised in they cause any trouble even if you don't delete them.

Jim
