That's all well and wonderful if that was all that could go wrong....
If you've ever overhauled one of the cranky SOBs out in the middle of
nowhere after having the points jump off their pivot, crossfiring the
engine so bad that it won't make enough power to maintain flight, you
might re-think at least a part of that.
That's fer SURE though why TWO of them are required on acft engines.
