I recently traded two intel 90Mhz Pentium CPU's (including BUG) in on 
the INTEL replacement plan for two new ones.

The 2 brand new ones came (in a packing the size of a monitor Box) with 
a moulded-on-heatsink (and fan) and a ONE YEAR clayton's WARRANTY.

They were overclocked to 100Mhz before life was breathed into them
and are working happily.

This is what the warranty says:

1. Intel warrants that the enclosed Pentium Processor (including the 
intel provided heatsink) if properly used and installed, will be free 
from defects in material and workmanship for one year following the date 
of shipment by intel.
2. If this pentium processor fails to conform to the above express 
warranty or any existing implied warranties, intel's sole and exclusive 
liability will be to replace such pentium processor that fails during 
the applicable warranty period, provided that 1. You promptly notify 
intel (1-800-321-4044) that the pentium processor is defective and 
furnish an explanation of deficency; 2. Pentium processor is returned to 
intel's service facility at your risk and expense and 3. Intel is 
satisfied that thae claimed deficiencies exist and were not  caused  by 
accident, misuse, neglect, alteration, repair, improper installation or 
improper testing. If the returned pentium processor is defective, 
transport charges for the return of a replacement pentium processor to 
you within the USA will be paid for by intel. For all other locations, 
the warranty excludes all costs of shipping, customs clearance and other 
related charges. In no event shall intel be liable for any other costs 
associated with replacement of the pentium  processor, including labour, 
removal, installation or other costs.Intel will have a reasonable time 
to provide a replacement processor under this warranty.

So much for your lifetime Warranty.
