Hey Jasen! Yeah I had some problems with the 40 column display running at 640x480, whatever bits, using matroxfb. I haven't looked at the svga libs in many years now. Far too slow. I started using a rc2 patch yesterday for 2.6.8.1 and lo and behold there is a VAST improvement, or at least for matroxfb. I am impressed. Still not perfect as I still haven't successfully compiled mplayer since 2.4. I am trying it again as we speak. AHA! Success!!! It just finished. One sec ... ooops. mga_vid is complaining about version.h so I better fix it. This will take a little while but I think it is doable. Getting there. :-) Life is good, Maurice --- Msged/LNX 6.1.2* Origin: Little Mikey's Brain Pointy System (1:261/38.9) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 261/38 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
