I think the command processor will search the File Association before it
processes the batch file (but, I've been wrong before)...

If you can, you may wish to pose your query in the Fidonet WIN95 echomail
area -- has a _LOT_ of knowledgeable people that could likely provide you
with the answers you are seeking AND the echoarea will deal with *ALL*
genre of Windows...
