It's been uploaded to every 64 supporting BBS I know of. > hehe.. just as a bit of trivia, did you know that in Poland and > other eastern block countries, the C64 is in demand? "That Peter guy" is Dr. Peter Kittel, head of CBM Germany. He's quite friendly, I've chatted to him via email regarding the C65. CBM Germany are stilll making 64s, although only for a minimum order of 10,000 units. > Hopefully the new owners will put a bit more time into the > development part of it, though if Samsung or whoever get hold of > it, this probably won't happen :( The latest is that CBM-UK and Samsung have jointly bought the rights to CBM. CBM-UK are *very* keen to keep the CBM range alive. > program in 6502/Z80/ any lower class cpu anymore, which makes it > a little difficult for engineers to use these chips for small > projects. Hey, I might even be in demand one day ;) You? A job?? > Yep, if Commodore had of done things right, they'd still be > alive today. I think that CBM would have been left behind if they'd done that. When the Amiga was released it was "state of the art". The C65 wouldn't have been (altho' it would have been rather nice). I do beleive that a lot of die-hard 64 users would have switched to the 65 tho'. This would have made them "ripe" as targets for upgrading to the Amiga. > ... Stick to blowing up computers. ;-) --- FMail 0.94* Origin: A pointed message from Ralphey!
