I was using the wrong driver. I was reading about the prism chip so when I went to the ecs site I saw a file with prisim in its name and grabbed it. I also read right past the part in the readme where they talked up a mini pci card. Duh! Now I have the right driver and get no errors on boot up, but the card still does not work. The power lite stays on until the point where the ecs logo dissappears and drivers are reported loading. I just may have a irq problem and will explore that later this evening.
